Pickling refers to a metal treatment process performed by manufacturing companies. A Hydrochloric Acid (HCL) solution, named Pickling Liquor (very corrosive) removes superficial impurities from metal (rust and scales) from Steel Surface on hot rolled steel which develops an oxide layer and make it easier to work.
