Wilfley's Model K pump is designed for difficult solids-handling applications. It provides reliable service with minimal maintenance support. The dynamic seal feature of the Model K pump provides for leak-free operation without the requirement of seal water, which may be required for a packing gland or mechanical seals. This means there is no product dilution and, without rubbing contact in the seal area, the Model K pump can be run dry. The heavy section thickness of the hydraulic components provide for long wear life in difficult abrasive applications. The Model K pump offers easy inspection and change-out of key hydraulic components without disturbing the suction and discharge pipes or disassembling of outside liners. The Model K is a proven performer in tough applications containing solids and froth and in applications with upset conditions, such as cavitation and momentary dry running as are commonly found in loading/off loading applications.
