TThe Model A7 chemical processing pump is conservatively designed to provide for high production with maximum reliability. Seventy to eighty percent of pump maintenance is related to seals. The A7 is designed with maximum seal flexibility that can be tailored to your application. Wilfley's dynamic seal and a selection of single and double mechanical seals are available to meet your application needs. Wilfley's dynamic seal can accommodate difficult applications such as those containing solids, solutions close to saturation that crystallize, or applications with low NPSH with intermittent cavitation. The Wilfley dynamic seal has no rubbing parts and therefore no continuous seal water is required, eliminating product dilution. The A7 pump can run dry with no seal damage. The Model A7 offers a rugged robust construction as verified by average weights of 35-50% more than common ASME specified pumps. Heavier hydraulic components and minimal shaft deflections result in higher reliability and lower maintenance costs. The Model A7 is a proven performer in the most difficult applications containing solids and crystallizing solutions, and applications with upset conditions such as cavitation and momentary dry running.
